Cedar Tea Break

Cedar Tea Break began as a monthly virtual lunch-and-learn program for members of the performing arts sector to join with a local to regional Indigenous Leader and Presenter/Arts Administrator team to ask questions, discuss realities, and learn more about how you can grow relationships with Indigenous Neighbours. The goal was to create digital collateral to promote the monthly lunch-and-learns and communicate a warm and welcoming tone for the event. After a brief consultation with the program facilitator, we decided to use an image of a cup of cedar tea on a wooden table to visually invite community members to sit down for a cup of tea and learn from one another. The final product was created using a combination of vector illustrations and a watercolour texture filter to create something visually striking yet soft.
